Communication through Visual Design
The expression of a visual design is in the idea or message that it communicates. It is a complex process of iterating design ideas, bringing together a number of elements such as shapes, lines, colors, images and text, to create a whole canvas. Every little detail has its own purpose and works together with every other element in a design to successfully convey the purpose.
Awareness Poster for a World Bank Study
Cuba has been a leader in experimental organic agriculture since early 1990s. The World Bank conducted a study to learn about the long term environmental impact of the transition from chemical intensive agriculture. This poster, designed in 2006, featured the various phases of the organic agriculture. Size: 2' x 3'
Poster for a Knowledge Exchange Workshop
A 6' x 2-1/2' poster for a Knowledge Exchange Workshop organized by The World Bank in Kolkata, India, in 2017. The workshop focused on the vulnerability of Suderbans, a UNESCO heritage site, in a changing climate. The poser featured the flora, fauna and poor inhabitants of the Sunderbans.
Branding for a Non-Profit Initiative
Elephant In The Room is a non-profit initiative to educate and engage school children in India to embrace a sustainable way of life at the very basic root level. Founded in 2018 by Anurag Danda, a specialist on sustainable development, EITR needed a brand identity that would speak for the organization's mission and relate to the target audience.
